Conversation data: When you interact with your Fellow, the messages you send and receive are processed in order to generate responses. Conversations are not permanently stored on our servers beyond the duration of your active session.
Uploaded files: If you upload a document (PDF, DOCX, TXT, or similar), its content is extracted client-side and included in your session conversation. File content is not stored permanently.
Usage data: We may collect standard web analytics data (page views, session duration, browser type) via our hosting provider (Netlify). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
No account required: MyWritingFellow does not currently require account registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information through this service.
Anthropic: Your conversation messages are processed by the Anthropic Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of this data. We do not share personally identifying information with Anthropic beyond the conversation content you provide.
Netlify: Our site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs and analytics. See Netlify's privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.
Conversation sessions are not permanently stored by MyWritingFellow. When you close your browser or navigate away, your session data is not retained. We do not build profiles of individual users.
MyWritingFellow is powered by artificial intelligence. Responses generated by your Fellow are AI-generated and are intended for creative writing support purposes only. They do not constitute professional editorial, legal, medical, psychological, or any other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for matters requiring professional expertise.
As a Canadian service, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, and to request its correction or deletion. To make such a request, contact us at the address below.
Users in the European Economic Area also have rights under GDPR including the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your data.
MyWritingFellow does not use tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may set functional cookies necessary for site operation. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
MyWritingFellow is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
